I’ve ran the EZ Gluten test on New Belgium’s Amber Ale, Fat Tire, out of Fort Collins, Colorado. I saw that another online blogger (Gluten In Beer Blog) had shown it to be positive with EZ Gluten.1 I wanted to verify their result.
Fat Tire is a 5.2% abv amber ale made with barley malt, hops, and yeast. A 12oz bottle has 160 calories.
My result was positive, and based on just this test strip i’d estimate it to be around 30-60ppm gluten. If you are not familiar with my gluten in beer research, check it out here.
